Cedie Janson
March 10, 2025-April 28, 2025
Opening May 24
As a composer and sound artist, I craft sonic landscapes from organic and synthetic sounds, drawing inspiration from the natural world, liminality, and the subconscious. Often process-orientated, many of my works are improvised experiments created within a strict set of parameters which I then refine the asynchronous yet authentic moments which come from this process.

Cedie Janson (b. 1986) is a composer and sound artist from Queensland, Australia.
In 2014, he earned a Master of Fine Art (Music) from the Queensland University of Technology.
Janson's work is created using a blend of organic and electronic sounds; manipulating them with various sound design techniques, placing a strong emphasis on texture and timbre.
In 2021, Janson released his debut full-length album, 'Thoughts on the Top Floor', which saw him building on the electronic sound of his previous two EPs, with the addition of the hypnotic vocals and song-forms that defined his earlier work in Naked Maja.
Recently, Janson completed his second album—a two-year endeavor blending ambient piano, collected field recordings, and tape loop experiments, all inspired by his travels and experiences in the Pacific Northwest.
