Repeated until they become patterns, they form landscapes where signs persist while what they were meant to guarantee grows increasingly uncertain. Houses stand deserted, plates are empty, the night stays illuminated, and water keeps flowing. The systems still function, yet their self-evidence is falling apart. Sleeping bodies sometimes traverse these spaces. Their inactivity may suggest a withdrawal from the demands of productivity, visibility, or performance. Yet, they never stand outside these systems; they continue to inhabit, rely on, and participate in them. Hovering between clarity and compliance, passivity and unease, the paintings present a world where forms remain intact even as their uses, promises, and meanings shift.
